Attached biotic community carriers (Biological filling)

“KARKAS” and “POLYFLEKS” perforated and corrugated elements

“KARKAS” and “POLYFLEKS” perforated and corrugated elements are designed to be used as a hard particulate filling for biological filters at the objects of waste water biological treatment.KARKAS and POLYFLEKS perforated and corrugated elements
“KARKAS” filling material consists of perforated and corrugated tubular elements of given length. The tubular shape of the elements, their perforation and corrugation provide for significantly increased contacting surfaces. This leads to the enhancement of waste water treatment efficiency and increased reliability of the working facilities. Besides, it can be used as an attachment to water cooling towers.
“POLYFLEKS” filling material consists of perforated and corrugated tubular elements, provided with radial rectangular barriers, positioned at framework ribs in a fan pattern and evenly spread along the inner casing perimeter. Usage of radial barriers in the construction provides for increased speed and enhanced quality of biological water treatment, while achieving fine degree of cleaning.
Biological filling may be shipped independently (in bulk) or as hard blocks of given sizes.

“KARKAS” and “POLYFLEKS” biological fillings application at treatment facilities has the following features:
  1. Helps to increase oxidizing capacity of the facilities by 25...35% KARKAS and POLYFLEKS perforated and corrugated elementsdue to better conditions of oxygen access to the biological layer and metabolism products’ withdrawal.
  2. High porosity combined with large adhesion surface.
  3. Corrosion resistance;
  4. High mechanical strength;
  5. Easy to install.
Technical data for "KARKAS" and "POLYFLEKS" elements:
